The members of Rose Youth Foundation will meet from November 2008 through April 2009 to share opinions, make decisions, and work with teens from other backgrounds.

Here's what the group will do:

  • Investigate issues and needs in the Jewish community.
  • Solicit proposals from organizations that meet these needs.
  • Review grant proposals and visiting organizations that apply for grants.
  • Make decisions on which organizations get grants and how much.
  • Explore Jewish values and learning about philanthropy and foundations.

Members of Rose Youth Foundation are decision-makers. Rose Community Foundation staff serve only as resources.

Sounds like a nice mixture of thoughtful work and fun times with other teens. But what will I get out of it?
I'd like to know more about Rose Community Foundation and the members of Rose Youth Foundation
I'd like to know more about foundations and how they work.

Read Rose Youth Foundation's 2008 Report to the Community.

"I don't know where else I would get the chance to visit and talk with rabbis in Boulder, have a round table meeting with the Mayor, and keep informed on the many things going on in the Jewish community."
