Services for Private Foundations
A private foundation can be a family’s legacy in the community. We approach relationships with private foundations as partnerships, helping private foundations ensure that their philanthropy is having an impact in the causes that are important to them.
Rose Community Foundation's Philanthropic Services team can give private foundations the insight they need to make their giving as strategically effective as possible. Leveraging the wide array of resources we can offer, private foundations benefit from our extensive community knowledge and expertise in strategic philanthropy.
Private foundation partners also have direct access to our comprehensive philanthropic resources. Private foundations are connected with ideas and learning and giving opportunities to maximize the impact of giving by collaborating with other philanthropic leaders, and with our ongoing programs and initiatives.
Private Foundation Consulting Services
Private foundations sometimes find themselves grappling with strategic questions related to their grantmaking – how to develop and measure goals, evaluate the effectiveness of their giving, involve other generations in decision-making and find good information about nonprofit organizations.
Our Philanthropic Services team can help guide private foundations through these questions and more, allowing them to focus on the bigger picture of grantmaking and strategic impact. Through custom planning, guidance and administrative support services, our team can serve as the go-to resource for private foundations.
These services are available on a fee-for-service basis. Please contact Philanthropic Services staff for more information.
Many private foundations choose to establish a donor-advised fund at Rose Community Foundation. As a donor-advised fund holder, a private foundation can benefit from personal, customized service, in-depth information and learning opportunities, multi-generational facilitation services and the deep community knowledge our experienced staff can offer. Additionally, the structure of a donor-advised fund can simplify the record keeping and tax requirements of a private foundation.
Donor-advised funds can be a great choice for individuals, families, businesses or groups. They are typically easier and less costly to administer than private foundations. Please contact Philanthropic Services staff for additional information.
