Sample Media List
Because media contact information changes frequently, the names in the sample media list below are not real, although the media outlets are. This should be used only as a template.
Each organization will want to customize a list with media contacts who are likely to be interested in the organization’s news. Because news varies within an organization, the contacts may vary for each news item, too. We recommend keeping a master media list, from which a customized list can be culled for each media communication.
The list was created as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Keeping a media list in this type of spreadsheet makes it easy to do mail merges.
