EmpowerJewish Women’s Fund of Colorado (JWFC) uses its financial, volunteer and staff resources to empower the community on issues affecting the status of women and girls. Currently, we employ two strategies towards this goal: grantmaking and connecting individuals to resources and information that will help them empower themselves to be catalysts for change.
Grants Jewish Women’s Fund of Colorado (JWFC) uses its financial resources to support nonprofit organizations that share our vision so together we can fix systems, not symptoms. Support includes funding existing organizations and programs, helping develop new programmatic initiatives, and/or assisting in bringing proven national models to the local community. Grantees include Center for Domestic Violence at the University of Colorado Denver, Chicken & Egg Pictures, Communications Consortium Media Center, Girls Athletic Leadership School, Junior League of Denver and The White House Project. Currently, JWFC is not engaged in competitive grantmaking. Rather, JWFC is proactively looking to support organizations, programs and agencies whose work provides long-term, strategic responses to issues affecting women and girls.
Resources and Information Jewish Women’s Fund of Colorado seeks to learn from and leverage relationships with other organizations that further JWFC's goal of helping women to become effective catalysts for change in the public, private and social sectors. Please follow this link to JWFC's online bookmarks where you may access information on select organizations, articles and websites focusing on women’s issues, progressive funding, systemic change and other topics of interest to JWFC.
