Vision and Values

What makes Jewish Women’s Fund of Colorado (JWFC) unique? It is our vision, our values and our approach that underscore the work we do.

Our vision is for women to become effective catalysts for change in the public, private and social sectors.

JWFC is guided in this vision by a commitment to:

  • Promoting social and economic justice

  • Focusing on systemic change

  • Partnering and leveraging existing assets

  • Being inclusive in programming, grantmaking, membership and outreach

JWFC conducts its work in accordance with four core Jewish values:

  • Kavod - Respect, integrity, and being inclusive

  • Kavanah - Giving with intent

  • Gemilut chasadim - Pursuing actions and commitments beyond financial gifts

  • Dor L’dor - Passing on values, strengthening future generations, and recognizing the importance of both elders and youth

JWFC approaches its work with a gender lens. JWFC considers the perspective and interests of women in the design, delivery, structure and evaluation of the programs we initiate and execute, and of programs and organizations with whom we partner or fund.
