November 6, 2007 Young Adult Jewish Grantmakers Seek Innovative Ideas: Denver, CO - The 18-member Roots & Branches Foundation, organized and funded by Rose Community Foundation, is now actively seeking grant proposals for innovative programs and projects offered within the seven-county Denver/Boulder community. In December 2007, Roots & Branches Foundation will grant up to $94,470 for efforts that directly benefit Jewish individuals ages 25 to 40 by involving them in Jewish activities or by engaging them in secular or Jewish community activities to help others. Roots & Branches Foundation invites individuals, groups of individuals, or nonprofits—Jewish or non-Jewish—to submit grant proposals that:
The deadline to submit a grant proposal is Friday, November 30, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. Roots & Branches Foundation’s members include Jews from throughout the Metro Denver area. They represent a broad spectrum of Judaism, describing themselves as Orthodox, Reform, Reconstructionist, Modern Orthodox, Conservative and secular Jews. The group has been meeting every three weeks since July to learn about philanthropy, and to decide how to give away $94,470 in grants.
