Rachel Griego, Latino Community Foundation of Colorado
Rachel Griego has resumed her position and responsibilities as project director at the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC), an initiative of Rose Community Foundation.
Ms. Griego is an experienced event planner and project manager with 18+ years of working with diverse populations and clientele that include nonprofit, for-profit, government, foundation and non-government agencies and organizations. She has successfully developed, managed and executed numerous small and large conferences and meetings from concept to close-out and managed numerous programs and special initiatives. She earned her B.A. in political science with a concentration in pre-law from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, California.
Most recently Rachel served as National Experiential Events Director for INGEÑUITY, a national business growth agency for entities looking to connect with diverse audiences from influencers to millions of consumers with a focus on the Latino community. Previous to this, she worked for the LCFC and was instrumental in the foundations most pivotal growth period. She oversaw the LatinasRepresentCO and Kellogg Foundation initiatives and supported other initiatives including the formation of the Young Latino Philanthropist giving circle. She also co-developed and produced LCFC’s annual forum.
Previously, she served as office management specialist to the U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Raul Yzaguirre in the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She played a critical role in helping him effectively oversee U.S.–Dominican Republic bilateral relations and manage a staff of nearly 600 personnel in his role as the chief of mission.
Ms. Griego served as a political appointee for the Department of Labor, Women’s Bureau and most recently for the State Department, U.S. Mission in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in the administrations of President William J. Clinton and President Barack H. Obama.
She is a strong advocate for women serving as a mentor and connector through her work as a BeVisible Latinx Ambassador. Ms. Griego lives and works in Denver, Colorado and is the proud mother to son Luca.
